Danya River's amazing insight and playfulness bring the best out of me. If it weren't for her coaching, I may very well still be hiding out behind a day job, resigned and cynical. I have been feeling far more creative since our wonderful session together!
In the few weeks following our first session, I have been teaching myself to play ukelele. My 4 year old son has also taken a liking to the instrument and I'll often overhear him plucking the strings and singing made up songs from the other room. I feel that my whole family has become more creative as a result of my session with Danya. I am dressing more adventurously and diving into projects unabashed by the possibility of their potential imperfection (something that has stopped me in the past). Thank you Danya for your inspiration, beauty, freedom to be and guidance. You are a beautiful muse with great creative talent, it is impossible to be around you without something wonderful rubbing off. I feel so blessed to know you.

"I have been writing songs for 14 years. I met with Danya after being in a “songwriters stump” for 9 months. I had been stuck saying the same things for a long time. I really had wanted to tap into a new voice. I wanted the ability to express experiences, thoughts, stories, and life from my new perspective. My minimal hope in meeting with her was to just write a new song.
Well, mostly we just had a conversation. We did talk about writing a songs but also the creative process and the opportunity to express myself. After our session, I did write a new song. The lyrics and the music were in a new style which came as a surprise to me. In addition, I started writing poetry again. It has been years since the last time I had written a poem. I also started two blogs just as another form of expression. Ultimately, Danya helped to remind me of how much I love to write and how much fun it could be.
